We laughed together, we wept together.
We smiled though the most difficult times,
We kicked each other, We hugged each other,
We were always there for each other.
At times, we hated each other, but that was not more than what we loved each other.
We poked fun at each other, we quarreled with each other
When tears rolled down my cheek, she would be there to wipe them off,
She s always the first one i think of when i am happy,
She s always the first one i think of when i feel low,
She s my twin soul, she s my partner in crime,
I feel this whole connection to her which tells me that i am incomplete without her.
She s more than a best friend to me, a SOUL SISTER!!
I really didn't bother much about people entering and leaving my life because i knew that she was always there for me.
Our friendship did go through some rough patches. but, wht's friendship without fights?? it strengthened out bond even more!!
This one is dedicated to you, pinku (Priyanka Wani) for being in my life and making it worthwhile! You mean a lot to me. Thanks a lot!

dancing away..

I love to dance. I have been learning the Indian Classical art form of Bharatanatyam for 8 years now! In the early days of training i only took it as a hobby. But as the years passed by, i soon realized that it just didn't remain a hobby; but it is my passion now. Bharatanatyam is one of the most authentic and ancient dance forms of India. It originated in the state of Tamil nadu in India. Centuries ago, dancers would perform in the royal courts of kings. This dance form was developed further and made known to the world as Bharatanatyam. In the recent times, It has gained a lot of popularity both in India and abroad.
Along with my passion for dance, I have been blessed with an amazing guru (teacher), who has guided me, corrected me, scolded me and also appreciated me. To any layman, Bharatanatyam might just be a form of dance, but for me it is a way of connecting to my inner self and to the divine. I wish to pursue dancing along with my academics even further in life.Whenever i dance, it makes me commit deeper and deeper towards this art form! I can truely call Bharatanatyam my first love and will remain so all through my life!
